Forensic Psychiatrist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant in Forensic Psychiatry to join our team at Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality psychiatric care to our inpatient population within the medium secure services.
Key Responsibilities- Provide medical leadership and assessment & management for inpatients and the wider responsibilities of the forensic service locally, including prisons and community forensic mental health teams.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop and implement sustainable specialist forensic services for the population of North Wales.
- Contribute to the development of our team's clinical skills and knowledge through teaching and training.
- Be on the Specialist Register, have CCT or recognised equivalent, or be within 6 months of obtaining it at the time of interview.
- Have a valid UK driving licence or provide evidence of proposed alternative.
- Have evidence of training in core and specialist competencies relevant for forensic psychiatry, general medical skills, and experience in leading a multi-disciplinary team.
