Job Summary

This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated and ambitious Block Manager to join our team at PMR with fantastic career growth as our company expands its business. If you are an experienced Assistant Block Manager or have worked in Student or Property Management and would like to step up with a business that has a strong focus on qualifications and career progression, this role may be for you.

The Role

  • To have excellent communication skills both written and verbal to provide good customer services and maintain a positive reputation for PMR.
  • To have excellent time management and organisational skills to ensure the smooth running of your designated portfolio.
  • To have the ability to maintain accurate files and other ad hoc tasks to ensure the efficient operation of your portfolio.
  • To have an understanding of service charge budget setting and assisting service charge accountants with year-end accounts.
  • To be able to effectively manage reactive and preventative maintenance to ensure the upkeep of our properties.
  • To understand and ensure compliance across your portfolio for all aspects of health and safety regulations.
  • To be able to effectively manage insurance renewals to ensure our properties are adequately covered.
  • To be able to undertake regular inspections of buildings to identify any potential issues.
  • To have an understanding of property management and financial management principles to ensure the effective operation of your portfolio.
  • To demonstrate experience and knowledge of Section 20 process and major works.

The Person

  • 1-2 Years' Experience in a similar role.
  • Excellent skills in negotiation, problem-solving, multitasking, and stress management.
  • Experience with Qube or Dwellant is preferred.
  • An understanding of how to create and maintain budgets.
  • A valid driving license.
