Job Title: Shift Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Shift Engineer to join our team at a leading food manufacturer. As a Shift Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our production lines and maintaining the overall efficiency of our manufacturing process.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks to prevent equipment failures and ensure optimal production levels
  • Carry out electrical and mechanical repairs on production equipment, including fault finding and troubleshooting
  • Work on high-speed food production and packaging lines, including robotics, chillers, freezers, and other equipment
  • Collaborate with the production team to identify and implement process improvements
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of maintenance schedules and procedures
Requirements:
  • Multi-skilled engineer with experience in electrical and mechanical maintenance
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with production staff and other stakeholders
  • City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3 qualified in engineering, or equivalent
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including night shifts and weekends
