Maintenance Engineer - Day Shift Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Engineer to join our day shift team at our Northampton facility. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our production equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Carry out Predictive Maintenance (PPMs) and reactive breakdowns to minimize machinery downtime.
  • Liaise with Engineering management and fellow engineers to resolve breakdowns efficiently and professionally.
  • Conduct mechanical and electrical fault finding and repairs on plant machinery.
  • Work collaboratively with other engineers to maintain and repair plant machinery.
  • Adhere to company Health and Safety policies.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 3 years' experience as a Maintenance Engineer in a food production, packaging, manufacturing, or FMCG industry.
  • A good balance of mechanical and electrical fault finding and repairs.
  • Apprentice-trained with a minimum NVQ level 3 qualification in mechanical and/or electrical engineering.
  • Previous experience repairing and fault finding on components such as motors, gearboxes, conveyor systems, converters, inverters, or PLCs.
  • An openness to learn, share practices, and attend training courses when needed.
