Newcombe Lodge specializes in providing services to children and young people facing a range of emotional, behavioral, psychological, and mental health challenges, particularly self-injury and other associated risk-taking behaviors.

We believe that all children and young people, especially those who have experienced difficult circumstances, require a high level of nurturing care that addresses their fundamental needs.

Your Role: Making a Difference
  • Collaborate effectively as part of a dedicated team.
  • Perform administrative tasks essential to the smooth operation of our service.
  • Maintain clear communication channels, prioritizing the well-being of each child and young person. This includes liaising with parents/carers, social workers, nurses, and psychotherapists.
  • Support each child or young person in their educational development by working closely with teaching staff (as appropriate).
  • Contribute to meal preparation and assist catering staff as needed.
  • Educate and provide positive guidance to children and young people regarding their healthcare needs.
  • Participate actively in planned activities and encourage children and young people to contribute to the planning process.
  • Upon successful completion of your probationary period, you may be eligible for a permanent Therapeutic Care Worker position, which includes Key Working responsibilities. You will also be required to complete QCF Level 4 training.
  • Be prepared to undertake waking nights or day duties on a rotational basis as directed by your Line Manager.
  • Attend individual and group supervision sessions as directed by your Line Manager.
  • Engage in mandatory training programs and ongoing professional development activities.
  • Complete driving assessments if required to be authorized to drive for Priory business purposes.
