Role Overview: We are looking for a dedicated and empathetic Student Support Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in assisting students facing behavioural challenges, ensuring they can reach their maximum potential.

Key Duties:

  • Collaborate closely with the classroom teacher to provide support for students with behavioural difficulties.
  • Implement and evaluate behaviour management techniques and tailored support strategies.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning atmosphere.
  • Deliver individual and small group assistance to students as required.
  • Engage with educators, families, and external professionals to create a unified approach to student assistance.
  • Track and document student progress, offering constructive feedback to teaching staff.
  • Encourage positive behaviour and assist students in developing social and emotional competencies.
  • Support classroom activities, including the preparation of educational materials and resources.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in an educational environment, particularly in behaviour management.
  • A sincere commitment to fostering children's growth and well-being.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Capability to work collaboratively within a team.
  • Patience, empathy, and a proactive mindset towards problem-solving.
  • Relevant educational or child development qualifications (preferred).
