Position Overview

The Hospitality Coordinator collaborates closely with the Head Chef and Chef to deliver an exceptional food and beverage experience in a friendly and hygienic setting for our residents and guests in the village café.

Key Responsibilities

  • Fosters a welcoming atmosphere for residents and visitors in our village dining facilities, emphasizing outstanding customer service and a diverse menu of food and beverages. Establishes rapport with residents.
  • Delivers a café/barista service within the village dining areas.
  • Handles customer transactions using the electronic point of sale (EPOS) system.
  • Ensures daily cleanliness, hygiene, and proper washing of utensils post-service.
  • Safely shuts down the kitchen at the end of operations, adhering to protocols for the following day’s preparation, including waste disposal.

Additional Qualifications

Essential

  • Knowledge and experience in maintaining good food hygiene practices.
  • Understanding of health and safety regulations.
  • Good standard of general education.

Desirable

  • Barista training.
  • Food hygiene qualification at level 2.
  • Diploma (or NVQ) level 1 in Catering/Food Service or equivalent.
  • Experience in a fast-paced café or restaurant environment.
  • Experience working with older individuals.
  • Familiarity with using an EPOS system.
