Dynamic Pharmacist Opportunity at Great Ormond Street HospitalJob Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacist to join our esteemed team at Great Ormond Street Hospital. As a Band 7 Pharmacist, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the services provided by the Dispensary and Operational team, working closely with the Clinical Lead Operational Pharmacist.

We are looking for a motivated and experienced Pharmacist who can effectively collaborate with team members, demonstrate exceptional communication skills, and inspire others to achieve excellence.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Act as a mentor to technical and support staff, providing guidance and support to ensure their success.
  • Clinically screen prescriptions to ensure accuracy and quality.
  • Develop the role of rotational Pharmacists, providing opportunities for growth and development.
  • Ensure compliance with best practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage controlled drugs securely, maintaining a high level of integrity and confidentiality.
  • Participate in on-call duties, providing 24/7 support to the team.

Job Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A Pharmacy Masters Degree.
  • Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council.
Desirable Qualifications:

We are particularly interested in candidates with:

  • A Post Graduate Certificate in Clinical Pharmacy.
  • Membership of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society.
  • An Independent Prescriber qualification.
  • Experience as an Educational Supervisor.
