Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Pharmacist to join our team at King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and managing the pharmacy service, providing clinical leadership and expertise to ensure the safe and effective use of medicines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Management
    • Develop and implement policies, guidelines, and procedures to improve pharmacy services and patient care.
    • Provide clinical leadership and expertise to ensure the safe and effective use of medicines.
    • Manage and supervise a team of pharmacists and pharmacy technicians to ensure the delivery of high-quality pharmacy services.
  • Service Development and Management
    • Develop and implement strategies to improve patient care and outcomes.
    • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care.
    • Manage and coordinate the pharmacy service to ensure efficient and effective use of resources.
  • Patient Care and Education
    • Provide clinical advice and guidance to patients and healthcare professionals on the safe and effective use of medicines.
    • Develop and implement patient education programs to improve patient understanding and adherence to medication regimens.
    • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care.
  • Financial Management
    • Develop and implement strategies to manage and reduce drug expenditure.
    • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care while managing resources effectively.
  • Research and Service Development
    • Develop and implement research projects to improve patient care and outcomes.
    • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care while advancing the field of pharmacy practice.
Requirements
  • Registered Pharmacist with the General Pharmaceutical Council.
  • Postgraduate Certificate in Pharmacy Practice or equivalent qualification.
  • Postgraduate Diploma in Pharmacy Practice or equivalent qualification.
  • Excellent leadership and management skills.
  • Strong clinical and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities.
