Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Pharmacist to join our team at Kings College Hospital. As a key member of our pharmacy department, you will play a vital role in providing clinical pharmacy services to our surgical and ophthalmic patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide safe and effective medication management to patients undergoing surgery and ophthalmic procedures.
  • Collaborate with surgeons, ophthalmologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Develop and implement clinical pharmacy services to improve patient outcomes and reduce medication errors.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary teams to promote high-quality, cost-effective, patient-focused pharmaceutical care.
  • Act as a deputy for the Principal Pharmacist and provide clinical leadership to the pharmacy team.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of local guidelines and policies to promote safe drug use.
  • Assist in the financial reporting and drug budget management for the pharmacy department.
Requirements
  • Registered Pharmacist with 1 year of competency-assessed and examined professional registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council.
  • Postgraduate Certificate in Pharmacy Practice or equivalent qualification.
  • Registered Independent Prescriber or willingness to complete.
  • Previous relevant specialist clinical experience.
