Position Overview

As a key member of the Engineering Team at Princes Limited, the Reliability Engineer plays a vital role in ensuring the effectiveness of maintenance strategies across the site. This permanent position is based in the United Kingdom and focuses on optimizing operational performance through proactive maintenance techniques.

Job Responsibilities

  • Safety and Quality Assurance
  • Conduct all tasks with a strong emphasis on safety, environmental, and quality standards, adhering to the Integrated Management System.
  • Promote a culture of safety and health awareness among colleagues and contractors.
  • Asset Management and Reliability Engineering
  • Collaborate with the Asset Care Manager to implement effective maintenance plans.
  • Utilize Condition Based Monitoring (CBM) and Reliability Centred Maintenance (RCM) techniques to enhance asset performance.
  • Analyze key performance indicators such as Mean Time to Repair (MTTR) and Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF) to drive improvements in equipment efficiency.
  • Support the execution of asset care plans while ensuring the effective use of the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
  • Communication and Collaboration
  • Engage with various support functions including HR, Health & Safety, Manufacturing, and Finance to ensure alignment on maintenance schedules and production priorities.
  • Foster strong relationships across teams to facilitate effective communication and collaboration.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Completion of a time-served apprenticeship in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proven experience with advanced Asset Management techniques.
  • Strong operational knowledge within a dynamic manufacturing setting.
  • Practical understanding of factory services including electricity, steam, and compressed air.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, capable of building relationships at all organizational levels.
  • Creative problem-solving abilities with a focus on strategic business requirements.
