Position Overview

As a key member of the Engineering Team at Princes Limited, the Reliability Engineer will report directly to the Asset Care Manager. This role is essential for executing planned, condition-based, and reliability-centered maintenance strategies across the facility, ensuring integration with the site’s Asset Care Plan and utilizing the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), specifically SAP.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safety and Quality Assurance
  • Perform duties with a strong emphasis on safety, environmental, and quality standards as part of the Integrated Management System.
  • Ensure compliance with all operational requirements.
  • Promote a culture of safety and health within the engineering and production environments.
  • Encourage behavioral awareness to minimize accidents and incidents.
  • Asset Care and Reliability Engineering
  • Collaborate with the Asset Care Manager and the Engineering team to implement effective site maintenance plans.
  • Utilize condition-based monitoring techniques as part of a proactive asset management strategy.
  • Develop and enhance reliability-centered maintenance approaches to improve equipment performance.
  • Monitor key performance indicators such as Mean Time to Repair (MTTR) and Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF) to enhance overall equipment effectiveness.
  • Support the execution of asset care plans, ensuring effective use of the CMMS across the site.
  • Maintain engineering standards and address any substandard performance within the operations.
  • Understand and drive performance standards related to essential services like water, air, gas, electricity, and steam.
  • Communication and Collaboration
  • Work closely with various support functions including HR, Health & Safety, Manufacturing, Technical, Logistics, and Finance.
  • Assist in daily communications to ensure asset care plans align with production priorities.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Completion of a time-served apprenticeship in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of advanced asset management techniques such as Condition-Based Maintenance (CBM) and Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM).
  • Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
  • Familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Good practical knowledge of factory services including electricity, steam, and compressed air.
