We are proud to introduce our first Extra Care Supported Living service, providing a supportive environment for individuals in their own apartments.

Experience as a Care Assistant, Support Worker, or in a related field is advantageous but not mandatory. We provide comprehensive training and orientation for all team members.

As a Support Worker with Leonard Cheshire, you will join a remarkable team. Each day presents unique challenges, and your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, medication management, and meal support.
  • Accompanying individuals within the service and to external events and appointments.
  • Promoting a Person-Centered approach, fostering independence, and helping clients achieve their personal goals.
  • Keeping accurate and up-to-date records.

To excel in this position, you should:

  • Possess strong interpersonal skills and effective communication abilities.
  • Be adaptable and innovative in working with clients and their families.
  • Ideally have experience in personal care (not a requirement).
  • Be capable of working under pressure and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Be flexible with working hours and willing to participate in an on-call rotation if necessary.
