Hybrid Assistant Manager Role - Accountancy Practice

A well-established and growing accountancy firm, with a reputation for high-quality service, is seeking to recruit an Assistant Manager. The firm provides services to a wide range of clients, from small and medium-sized businesses and individuals to multi-national corporations.

Position Overview

  1. Help manage a substantial portfolio of client accounts;
  2. Work with your team Manager and other colleagues in furthering the goals and ambitions of the firm, particularly in the provision of a high-quality service to its existing client base, and helping to develop new business;
  3. Assist in the management of an existing team, comprising Manager, semi-seniors, and junior colleagues;
  4. Update and maintain accurate records on the internal management system;
  5. Make suggestions on how to improve the firm's workflow processes and procedures;
  6. Other duties as may reasonably be requested from time to time.

Position Requirements

  1. Preferably a fully qualified member of CIMA, ACCA, or the ICAEW, with PQE.
  2. Applications from part-qualified individuals with extensive work experience will also be considered.
  3. Senior accountants and highly experienced semi-senior accountants will be considered.
  4. Must have demonstrable experience of successfully dealing with clients directly.
  5. Must have experience of managing less senior colleagues in a practice environment.
  6. This position requires confidence, flexibility, and enthusiasm.
  7. Must be a clear communicator, possessing excellent written and oral communication skills.
  8. Presentable, courteous, and polite.

Position Remuneration

  1. CPD and/or further professional study support;
  2. Competitive basic salary reflective of experience;
  3. Approved contributory pension, share option plan, and limited absences allowance additionally offered.
