Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Fleet Operations Specialist to join our team in Northampton. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of our fleet of vehicles, ensuring they are in optimal condition for our customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and repair Voi's fleet of vehicles, either at our warehouse locations or on-site in the field
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot vehicle issues, recommending repair actions to ensure minimal downtime
  • Assist in receiving, packing, and deploying new vehicles and batteries, as well as recycling and disassembling vehicles
  • Develop and implement efficient vehicle logistics, optimizing routes and standard operating procedures to minimize vehicle downtime
  • Re-distribute vehicles from low-demand areas to high-demand areas, and re-park vehicles parked incorrectly
  • Search for and collect vehicles in need of transportation back to the warehouse
  • Execute battery swap tasks in the streets of your city
  • Ensure our vehicles are deployed safely and in compliance with regulations, continuously evaluating and gathering in-field insights to improve vehicle availability, parking, and overall rider safety

Requirements

  • Full UK Driving License with a maximum of 6 points for minor offenses and no major offenses, meeting the requirements for our e-Van insurance
  • In-depth knowledge of your city and experience driving in urban environments
  • Responsible team player with the ability to manage tasks independently and work collaboratively with others
  • Ability to motivate and share knowledge with the team
  • Pragmatic problem-solving mentality with a focus on executing tasks, finding solutions, and meeting team targets and OKRs
  • Ability to navigate your city in a van under various weather and traffic conditions
  • Capacity to remain calm in stressful situations (poor parking, traffic, etc.)
  • Physical ability to carry heavy loads
  • Flexibility to work shifts, including possible night and weekend shifts
  • DBS Check may be required for this role
