Your Role:

As a Public Sector Solutions Architect, you will be instrumental in designing and articulating high-level solutions and architectures. Your expertise will guide the development of solutions that align with organizational capabilities and market strategies for both current and future demands.

This role encompasses the creation of architectures that support hosted and cloud solutions, providing consultancy, governance, and direction to public sector clients and development teams as necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the architecture development for complex systems, ensuring alignment with specified requirements from both external and internal stakeholders.
  • Utilize appropriate tools to guide the creation of system architectures in designated business or functional areas.
  • Generate detailed component specifications and translate them into actionable designs for implementation.
  • Offer technical guidance on system development and integration, ensuring adherence to relevant strategies, policies, standards, and practices.
  • Review and approve all architecture documents for assigned projects to meet established standards.
  • Ensure consistency across all architectures to enhance implementation, performance, and maintainability.
  • Understand domain requirements, gather data, and deliver analysis and solutions to problems.
  • Evaluate and recommend options, collaborating with stakeholder groups as part of formal or informal consultancy.
  • Address client needs comprehensively, enhancing personnel capabilities and effectiveness by ensuring proposed solutions are well understood and effectively utilized.
  • Act as a trusted technical advisor across various technology platforms and business areas, maintaining awareness of other divisions.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in public sector solution development, with a preference for candidates with Local Government and NHS experience.
  • Strong architectural background within the public sector.
  • Excellent communication skills, both technical and non-technical, in written and oral formats.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships across departments and divisions.
