About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Estate Surveyor to join our team in the Public Sector. As a key member of our property team, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of estates, delivering property transactions, and providing expert advice to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Take full day-to-day estate responsibilities for your allocated portfolio
  • Deliver property transactions within your portfolio
  • Support the Principal Corporate Property Surveyors
  • Provide property advice and recommendations
  • Guide a defined property portfolio
  • Deliver property advice, guidance, and transactions in support of the property strategy and good estate guidance
  • Provide advice and professional support to the Defra Group businesses

Requirements:

  • Hold significant estate guidance experience
  • Able to demonstrate competence and experience in commercial property and tenant/landlord matters on a transactional level
  • Able to communicate effectively with external consultants
  • Legislation knowledge
  • Knowledge of how leases work
  • Knowledge on how to conduct a transaction

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Membership with RICS (Royal Institute of Chartered Surveying)
