Your Role:
As a Public Sector Solutions Architect, you will be pivotal in designing and articulating high-level solutions and architectures. Your work will guide the development of solutions that align with organizational capabilities and market strategies for both current and future needs.
In this role, you will also create architectures to support hosted and cloud solutions, delivering data and applications as services. You will provide consultancy, governance, and direction to public sector clients and development teams as necessary.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development of architectures for complex systems, ensuring alignment with specified requirements from both external and internal stakeholders.
- Utilize appropriate tools, including logical models of components and interfaces, to guide the creation of systems architectures in specific business or functional areas.
- Generate detailed component specifications and translate them into comprehensive designs for implementation.
- Advise on technical aspects of system development and integration, ensuring adherence to relevant technical strategies, policies, standards, and practices.
- Review and approve all architecture documents for assigned projects to meet the required standards.
- Ensure that all architectures for involved projects drive improvements in implementation, performance, and maintainability.
- Take responsibility for understanding domain requirements, gathering data, conducting analysis, and resolving problems.
- Identify, evaluate, and recommend options, implementing solutions as needed. Collaborate with and facilitate stakeholder groups as part of formal or informal consultancy agreements.
- Address client needs comprehensively, enhancing the capabilities and effectiveness of personnel by ensuring proposed solutions are well understood and effectively utilized.
- Act as a role model and trusted technical advisor across various technology platforms and business areas, with an awareness of other divisions.
Qualifications:
- Proficient knowledge of public sector solutions, with a preference for candidates with experience in local government and NHS.
- Extensive architectural experience within the public sector.
- Exceptional communication skills, both technical and non-technical, in written and oral formats, for internal and external audiences.
- Strong relationship-building skills within departments and across divisions.
