Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our efforts in promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion within the Trust.
About the Role: As the Head of Inclusion and Diversity, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive strategy to promote equality, diversity, and inclusion across the Trust. This will involve working closely with senior leaders, directors, and staff at all levels to ensure that our policies, procedures, and practices are fair, inclusive, and respectful of all individuals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a Trust-wide equality, diversity, and inclusion strategy that aligns with the NHS's six high-impact changes and the Trust's People Plan.
- Lead the development and implementation of workforce equality and diversity processes and plans, including the Staff Survey Action Plan.
- Work with the resourcing team to analyze recruitment data and develop strategies to ensure a reflective workforce at all levels of the organization.
- Provide leadership and support to the Directorate in the development and implementation of equality and diversity policies and procedures.
- Develop a network of cultural inclusion ambassadors to support the Trust's recruitment strategy and disciplinary processes.
- Review and update key EDI policies and procedures to ensure they are fit for purpose and consulted upon.
- Work in partnership with staff networks to develop and deliver EDI interventions.
- Provide input and EDI expertise to the senior leadership team.
Requirements: To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong track record of experience in promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion in a healthcare setting. You will also need to have excellent leadership and communication skills, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with staff at all levels.
