ICT Business Manager Role

Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled ICT Business Manager to join their successful ICT Department. The successful candidate will work closely with the Head of ICT to support the management of the department, ensuring the delivery of high-quality services to the Trust.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Maintain and develop policies related to ICT, ensuring compliance with Trust standards.
  2. Support the negotiation and management of contracts, ensuring value for money and alignment with Trust objectives.
  3. Oversee the ICT department's revenue and capital programs, ensuring they are on track and within budget.
  4. Produce and maintain policies, procedures, and standard documentation for the ICT department and systems.
  5. Manage the financial and contract aspects of the Trust's telephone contract.
  6. Collaborate with the Head of ICT to develop future ICT strategies, ensuring alignment with Trust goals.
  7. Assist with the coordination of department updates and other Trust communications.
Business Cases
  1. Work with senior managers to develop business cases for ICT service development, new business, and capital projects.
  2. Present business cases to the Head of ICT for approval prior to submission to the board.
  3. Meet with relevant parties to gather information to support business case development.
  4. Collaborate with finance and third parties to ensure business cases contain all necessary information.
Cost Improvement Programs
  1. Work with department project managers to implement cost improvement opportunities identified by the department management team.
  2. Manage a plan of activities and track progress of tasks and milestones.
  3. Challenge staff to deliver their commitments and find alternative solutions to overcome challenges.
  4. Work closely with finance to ensure the CIP tracker is up to date.
  5. Meet regularly with ICT management and third parties to review progress.
Finance
  1. Support the Head of ICT in managing the ICT department's budget.
  2. Produce regular reports of the ICT budget for the Head of ICT.
  3. Work closely with senior management to ensure budgets are being met.
  4. Monitor complex budgets such as telecoms and network contracts.
  5. Collaborate with finance to ensure budget information is accurate.
  6. Monitor both revenue and capital budgets for the year.
Contract Management
  1. Work closely with third parties relating to all contracts and review meetings.
  2. Monitor contract adherence and report to the Head of ICT on any failures or shortcomings.
  3. Collaborate with other managers to ensure all contracts are correct and relevant.
  4. Manage a list of all contracts held and supported by the ICT department.
Business Planning
  1. Work with ICT managers to produce future Trust and department plans.
  2. Support the development of department policies and procedures.
  3. Work with ICT management and other information asset owners to produce and maintain business continuity plans.
  4. Help plan and manage department meetings and committees.
  5. Assist with the coordination of regular department updates and other Trust communications.
