Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Strategic Finance Partner to join our team at Michael Page Finance. As a key member of our finance department, you will play a crucial role in driving business success through strong partnerships and collaboration.

About the Role

As the leader of our finance business partnering team, you will be responsible for driving performance management and providing insightful management information to empower stakeholders. You will collaborate with leaders, analyze data, and support the broader Finance team to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities

  • Cultivate and sustain relationships with key stakeholders, including senior management and department heads.
  • Lead and develop the finance business partnering team, providing guidance and support to ensure the team's success.
  • Analyze financial data and produce meaningful reports to inform business decisions.
  • Coordinate budget production and forecast, ensuring accurate and timely delivery.
  • Assist budget holders with coding and variances, providing expert guidance and support.
  • Adhere to period end deadlines, ensuring timely completion of financial tasks.
  • Operate with transparency and integrity, maintaining the highest standards of ethics and professionalism.
  • Prepare and present management accounts, providing clear and concise financial information to stakeholders.
  • Assist with internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Requirements and Skills

  • Proactive team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • High attention to detail and ability to prioritize workload effectively.
  • Qualified accountant (CCAB) with a strong understanding of financial regulations and best practices.

Desirable Qualities

  • Continuous improvement mindset with a passion for innovation and excellence.
  • Experience in a housing association or similar industry, with a strong understanding of the sector's challenges and opportunities.
