Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Aftersales Applications Engineer to join our Applications Engineering team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering technical solutions and roadmaps, presenting technical information to customers and stakeholders, and managing tender delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including customers, sales teams, and technical teams.
  • Deliver technical presentations and solutions to customers and stakeholders, including creating flow diagrams, 3D models, layouts, and animations.
  • Support the sales team during customer visits by providing technical information and presentations.
  • Evaluate and generate project costs and quote engineering change requests, ensuring tenders are commercially viable and project schedules are maintained.
  • Support project teams during implementation phases with strategic and technical leadership.

Requirements

  • Proven high-level understanding of general engineering, machine building processes, and project lifecycle.
  • Ability to conceptualize complex and value-added automation solutions through application and development of innovative in-house processes and incorporating the best technology available.
  • Technical competence with various software programs, such as Microsoft Office, SolidWorks, AutoCAD, etc.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, as well as strong interpersonal and negotiation skills at all levels.

Desirable Qualifications

  • Experience of operating at a senior strategic level with a proven high level of commercial awareness.
  • Developed coaching and team management skills.
  • Valid driving license.
  • A relevant degree or vocational education (HNC, HND, apprenticeship) in an engineering discipline.
  • Good commercial acumen and understanding of market pricing and competitor influence.
