About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Dermatology Nurse to join our Community Dermatology Team at Sirona care & health CIC. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality care and support to patients with dermatological conditions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work independently and collaboratively with the BNSSG Dermatology Team to provide specialist dermatology nursing care in a variety of settings.
  • Conduct holistic assessments and follow established guidelines and protocols to deliver nursing management of dermatological conditions.
  • Contribute to setting standards of care and auditing clinical outcomes and service provision across the organization.
  • Prescribe for patients using independent or supplementary nurse prescribing, or request changes in medication directly from the patient's GP or Consultant.
  • Make referrals to other healthcare professionals or agencies as necessary, maintaining effective communication and feedback to the original referrer.
  • Ensure effective delivery of service and adhere to all policies of the organization by prioritizing, organizing, and delegating responsibilities and workloads.
Requirements
  • Registered General Nurse with evidence of ongoing training and professional development.
  • Ability to build and foster effective working relationships at all levels across primary and secondary care.
  • Able to work without supervision at times to achieve the objectives of the post and prioritize workload.
  • Ability to make valid clinical decisions, working within agreed guidelines and protocols for practice.
  • Patient assessment skills and evidence of ability to apply critical appraisal to develop evidence-based practice.
  • Advanced communication skills, including verbal, non-verbal, written, and electronic communication.
Desirable Qualifications
  • Nurse prescribing qualification or a willingness to undertake.
  • Specialist dermatology qualification or a willingness to undertake while in post.
