Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our Dermatology service on a part-time, fixed-term contract. The successful candidate will work alongside our Dermatology clinician, supporting patient care, procedures, and teaching of veterinary and veterinary nursing students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support patient care and procedures in the Dermatology service
  • Teach veterinary and veterinary nursing students on clinics as part of their rotations
  • Participate in skin biopsies, in-house cytology, diagnostic imaging for Dermatology cases, stock control, patient admits, blood sampling, IV placement, and other laboratory work
  • Communicate with clients and provide excellent customer service
  • Work collaboratively with the Dermatology team to achieve high-quality patient care and outcomes

Requirements:

  • Registered Veterinary Nurse with a passion for Dermatology
  • Previous experience in a referral environment is desirable but not essential
  • Flexibility to participate in the weekend rota and work in ward areas across the hospital
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
