Headway Adolescent Resources has built a strong reputation in the field of residential adolescent care, focusing on the individual needs of young people from diverse backgrounds.
We are currently seeking dedicated Residential Childcare Workers to become part of our team in residential homes.
Job Purpose:
In this role, you will be situated in a children's residential facility, providing support to young individuals exhibiting challenging behaviors. It is essential to be adaptable, resilient, honest, and well-organized, while being committed to delivering high-quality childcare that enables young people to reach their fullest potential.
This permanent position offers excellent career advancement opportunities and a thorough training program within a growing organization. The work schedule typically involves an average of hours per week, following a pattern of days on and days off, including sleep-in shifts. Additionally, you will benefit from generous allowances for bank holidays, overtime, and a performance-related bonus scheme.
Key Qualifications:
- Experience working with challenging youth, preferably in a residential environment (not mandatory)
- Possession of QCF level qualification in Children and Young People, or willingness to pursue this qualification with full funding provided.
- Able to work independently with a high degree of accuracy and maintain organized records.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a positive team-oriented attitude.
- Intermediate computer skills.
- Capability to complete daily documentation in compliance with statutory and policy requirements.
- Empathetic disposition.
- Effective oral and written communication skills across various contexts.
- Ability to engage, motivate, and inspire young individuals.
- Full manual driving license is essential.
