Job Summary

As a Practice Education Facilitator, you will play a crucial role in supporting new clinicians through induction and ensuring they have the knowledge, skills, and behaviours to deliver a safe, effective, and caring service.

Main Duties

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading the induction process for new recruits into the team, coordinating competency education and assessments.
  • Providing clinical and educational support to new recruits and existing staff requiring extra support.
  • Providing leadership to new recruits and supporting line managers with staff development.
  • Maintaining accurate, timely written and computerised documentation in line with professional guidelines and legal requirements.
  • Evaluating and risk assessing all aspects of community work to minimise risk to self, patients, and carers.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Education to degree level or equivalent with NMC registration.
  • Evidence of continuous professional development to postgraduate level.
  • Recent teaching or training experience.
  • Excellent communication skills.

Desirable qualifications include a recognised assessor/mentor qualification or evidence of working towards this. Experience within community clinical roles, knowledge of the IEN OSCE process, and excellent communication skills are also highly valued.
