Maintenance Technician

As we expand our operations, we are looking for a Maintenance Technician to become a vital part of our Engineering Maintenance team. This position involves working on a 24/7 shift schedule.

Our facility has been a cornerstone of manufacturing excellence for over 40 years, employing a dedicated team that produces a diverse range of clinical laboratory and immunohematology products for global distribution.

Our team is committed to manufacturing a wide array of immunohematology products essential for transfusion medicine, alongside numerous immunoassay products that address various health conditions.

Your New Role:

In the role of Maintenance Technician, you will provide essential engineering support to our manufacturing processes and equipment at our facility.

Reporting to the Engineering Maintenance Execution Manager, you will be responsible for the maintenance of equipment, ensuring all service and calibration checks are conducted as required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Optimize equipment availability, performance, and quality, addressing breakdowns with effective troubleshooting skills.
  • Maintain compliance of equipment through our management database.
  • Ensure accurate and detailed documentation of all equipment maintenance activities.
  • Identify root causes of issues and document all interventions in the management system.
  • Develop performance metrics for machinery aligned with site objectives and analyze data to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Plan and execute maintenance programs to improve equipment performance and reliability.
  • Oversee service, calibration, and repair of designated equipment.
  • Manage service contractors during their activities on-site, ensuring compliance with maintenance protocols.
  • Continuously improve maintenance procedures and implement best practices in equipment management.
  • Provide support for urgent equipment issues as needed.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar maintenance role, preferably in a regulated manufacturing environment.
  • Proven expertise in engineering maintenance, with a focus on either multi-skilled or electrical maintenance.
  • An ONC qualification in an engineering discipline is required; HNC/HND is preferred.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Willingness to work a flexible 24/7 shift pattern.
