Maintenance Technician Role:

As we expand our operations, we are looking for a Maintenance Technician to become a vital part of our Engineering Maintenance team. This position involves working on a rotating shift schedule.

About Our Facility:

Our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility has been operational for over 40 years, employing more than 600 individuals dedicated to producing and supplying clinical laboratory and immunohematology products worldwide.

Our team is responsible for manufacturing a comprehensive range of immunohematology products utilized in transfusion medicine, alongside a diverse array of immunoassay products that address various health conditions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Enhance equipment availability, performance, and quality, ensuring alignment with operational efficiency targets while effectively addressing breakdowns through advanced troubleshooting skills.
  • Maintain compliance of equipment through the management database.
  • Accurately document all equipment-related information, ensuring clarity and detail.
  • Identify root causes of issues and update all interventions and resolutions in the management system.
  • Develop performance metrics for machinery that align with site objectives and analyze data to ensure optimal equipment operation.
  • Organize and execute maintenance programs aimed at improving equipment performance and uptime, regularly communicating progress to relevant stakeholders.
  • Conduct servicing, calibration, and repairs of designated equipment.
  • Oversee service contractors during their operations, ensuring all routine checks are completed and maintaining accurate records of equipment service history.
  • Continuously improve maintenance procedures and service activities, implementing relevant analyses and maintenance strategies.
  • Provide support during overtime as needed to resolve equipment issues and maintain an effective on-call engineering rota.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • At least 3 years of experience in a similar capacity, preferably within a highly regulated manufacturing environment.
  • Proven track record in engineering maintenance, ideally as a Multi-Skilled or Electrical Bias Maintenance Technician.
  • A minimum of an ONC in an engineering discipline is required; HNC/HND is preferred.
  • Strong communication skills and experience collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Willingness to work a rotating shift schedule, including nights and weekends.
