About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Administrative Support Specialist to join our team at North Staffordshire Combined Healthcare Trust. As a key member of our administrative team, you will provide essential support to our clinical staff, ensuring the smooth operation of our services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide first point of contact for clients, carers, and healthcare professionals, handling enquiries and prioritizing responses.
  • Process a high volume of self-referrals over the telephone, ensuring timely and efficient handling.
  • Coordinate appointments and treatment plans with therapists, ensuring seamless communication and coordination.
  • Support the clinical lead in monitoring and reporting on caseload activity, providing accurate and timely data.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate records, reports, and documents, adhering to data protection and confidentiality guidelines.
  • Provide administrative support to the clinical team, including minute-taking, correspondence, and supply management.
  • Collaborate with the Band 4 senior administrator to ensure clarity and guidance on administrative processes.
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues, clients, and external partners.

Person Specification

  • Good basic education, including English language proficiency.
  • Desirable qualifications: NVQ3, ECDL, RSAII.
  • Essential experience: working in a busy office environment, telephone contact with service users.
  • Desirable experience: experience working in a healthcare setting, familiarity with software packages.
