Your Role:

  • As a specialized Sales Engineer focusing on maritime solutions, you will be integral to our business expansion.
  • Collaborating closely with the customer-facing sales team, you will identify and address the unique needs of our maritime clients, aligning them with effective Eutelsat service offerings.
  • Your extensive engineering expertise and consultative approach will empower our distribution partners and maritime customers to deliver optimal solutions.
  • This position is vital for driving revenue growth, supporting the commercial team in enhancing our market presence in the maritime sector.
  • Your responsibilities will encompass comprehensive technical support, leading sales demonstrations, influencing market demands, and facilitating sales initiatives.
  • Our Sales Engineers are innovative, driven, and professional, thriving in collaborative environments with sales, product, and engineering teams while engaging with customers to understand their service requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical pre-sales support to promote Eutelsat's maritime products and services.
  • Engage with key customers to influence early sales stages, qualify prospects, and refine Eutelsat's offerings.
  • Utilize your technical acumen to address customer inquiries regarding capabilities, system performance, and network integration.
  • Act as the technical authority and solutions engineer for Eutelsat products and services, crucial to our commercial operations.
  • Collaborate with the commercial team to execute projects, ensuring a solid understanding of maritime customer requirements and system integration.
  • Communicate the advantages of the Eutelsat global network to potential clients and assist in capturing evolving market needs.
  • Contribute to bid teams by providing clear, technically sound, and commercially compelling responses to RFPs and RFIs.
  • Organize and oversee customer demonstrations, including developing use case scenarios and pre-service trials.
  • Engage with end-users to educate them on the key features of Eutelsat's offerings.

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience in delivering technical solutions to maritime clients.
  • Strong understanding of maritime use cases and requirements.
  • Familiarity with communications networks and maritime integration challenges.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of conveying technical information to diverse audiences.
  • Commercially savvy with strong negotiation skills and the ability to influence customer decisions.
  • Creative problem-solver with a solution-oriented mindset.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • BSc/BEng in a relevant technical field (Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Telecommunications, Computer Science).
  • Over 5 years of experience in a Sales Engineering or Support role.
  • Insight into the maritime sector; experience in satellite communications is advantageous.
  • Willingness to travel internationally, with cultural awareness and regional market intelligence.
