Job Overview

The successful candidate will function as an independent practitioner, providing specialized physiotherapeutic services to pediatric patients within the Barts Health NHS Trust as part of a rotational role. They will employ advanced skills in evaluation and treatment for a diverse range of conditions and presentations. Interventions will be conducted in various environments, including clinics, outpatient facilities, hospital wards, homes, and educational institutions.

Key Responsibilities

The role requires the post holder to operate autonomously, delivering tailored physiotherapy interventions to children throughout the Barts Health NHS Trust in a rotational capacity. They will utilize their expertise in assessment and treatment for a wide array of conditions and presentations. Services will be provided in multiple settings, such as clinics, outpatient departments, wards, homes, and schools. The role includes formal and informal supervision on a rotation-specific basis. The candidate will also engage in educational programs, promote evidence-based practices, and ensure clinical effectiveness. Contributions to research and service enhancement through project completion will be expected. Depending on the rotation, the individual will oversee Band 5 and 3 staff and facilitate the clinical education of physiotherapy students. Participation in emergency out-of-hours and weekend services for pediatric wards will be required, along with flexibility in work locations to ensure comprehensive service delivery.
