Job Title: Senior Project Accountant

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Accountant to join our team at BAE Systems. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for delivering core project accounting deliverables for the Dreadnought Programme, ensuring effective financial challenge, governance, and support to the programme teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver robust forecasts into the Monthly Management Reporting (MMR) process and support the project teams to ensure financial commitments are met.
  • Produce quarterly Contract Status Reports, reflecting an accurate financial representation of the programme.
  • Manage a team of 2-3 Project Accountants, ensuring their continued development and providing support from a financial perspective for contract management, negotiations, and amendments.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Accountant (CIMA, ACCA, or ACA) or relevant equivalent is essential.
  • Accounting and financial management experience, working in a variety of roles including working within a project finance environment.
  • Thorough knowledge of Financial IT Systems including SAP and MS Excel.
