Position Overview

In the role of Content Strategy Lead for a globally recognized brand, you will serve as the brand steward across various international initiatives. Your responsibilities will include leading the development of content and channel strategies, ensuring that all outputs are in line with the overarching brand narrative. You will guide the strategic direction of each content piece across diverse channels, from blogs and opinion articles to infographics and videos, ensuring a cohesive brand voice.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct editorial planning to translate communication strategies into specific content calendars and plans, detailing the form, purpose, and production requirements of content.
  • Oversee the creation of content that aligns with clients' business and reputational objectives.
  • Commission and manage content production from writers, videographers, and designers, both in-house and through partner agencies and freelancers. This includes developing content plans and briefs, sourcing resources, managing timelines, and ensuring quality through editing.
  • Create and maintain content templates, tools, and workflows for client projects to standardize editorial production.
  • Establish a 'best in class' approach to content and ensure overall strategic quality assurance of produced materials.
  • Collaborate with senior stakeholders and subject matter experts to ensure content adheres to brand guidelines, developing tone of voice and style guidelines for consistency and quality.
  • Write and edit content for print, web, and social media, ensuring all materials meet the client's brand and objectives, ranging from scripts for short videos to comprehensive documents for executives.
  • Engage with clients and colleagues to identify specific business challenges and opportunities, translating these into content briefs that guide project work.
  • Manage client relationships directly, presenting content deliverables and negotiating feedback.
  • Provide recommendations for optimization based on performance and reach metrics.

Candidate Profile

  • Proven experience in a Brand Editor or Content Strategy role, ideally at the Account Director or Senior Account Director level within an agency.
  • Experience managing large, multi-stakeholder clients across various workstreams.
  • Background in developing content for B2B corporate audiences is advantageous.
  • Proficient in social/digital content writing, creative brief development, and collaboration with design and production teams.
  • Some understanding of paid campaigns is beneficial, although execution will not be your primary responsibility.
  • Experience in reporting and data optimization, translating metrics into actionable insights.
