Hybrid

Hours:
Monday to Friday 09:00 - 17:30 (17:00 finish on Fridays)

About The Role:


A prominent educational organization is in search of a dedicated Technical Support Specialist to assist their vibrant team during a busy period.

This position entails managing customer interactions across various platforms, including phone, email, and web chat. You will be instrumental in documenting and analyzing customer interactions to uncover trends and enhance service delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

Customer Support: Take ownership of and resolve inquiries for both external and internal clients.

Advisory Role:
Provide guidance on the necessary support for third-party materials utilized within educational modules.

Technical Assistance:
Deliver ongoing technical support and constructive feedback.

Best Practices:
Identify and disseminate best practices among colleagues.

Queue Management:
Effectively manage queues from various communication channels.

Liaison:
Collaborate with other service areas regarding new and existing services/products.

System Testing:
Assist in the testing and implementation of new systems.

Collaboration:
Work cohesively within the team and with other departments of the institution.

Project Participation:
Engage in projects, pilots, and testing as required.

Administration:
Conduct daily administrative tasks, including reporting and analysis.

Training:
Support in training and mentoring new helpdesk staff.

Knowledge Sharing:
Proactively share knowledge and insights with team members.

Skill Development:
Continuously enhance and develop skills pertinent to your role.

Education, Qualifications, and Training:

Essential:
Minimum GCSE standard of education, including English Language and Maths or equivalent.

Due to the sensitive nature of the role, a background check will be conducted.

Desirable:
Professional qualifications in IT or computing.

Knowledge, Work, and Experience:

Essential:
Experience in a Helpdesk or Service Desk environment, ideally in IT support or a customer-facing role.

Desirable:
Familiarity with distribution and dispatch processes.

Experience in the higher education sector.

Skills, Capabilities, and Qualities:

Essential:
Proficient understanding of major operating systems, web browsers, and MS Office applications.

Aptitude for troubleshooting or providing workarounds for software issues.

Ability to perform under pressure and work efficiently.

Maintain professionalism and composure, especially when interacting with students and educators under time constraints.
