Job Title: Performance Manager

At Thames Water, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Performance Manager to join our team. As a Performance Manager, you will be responsible for managing a team of Slow Sand Filter Operators and a Working Supervisor to perform effectively against internal and external targets.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Controlling and auditing site activity, ensuring the safety of the team, contractors, and other third parties through the consistent application of company Health & Safety policy.
  • Managing budgets and costs to ensure you are meeting and exceeding tight financial targets while maintaining quality.
  • Ensuring the continued operability of the Slow Sand Filter team's mobile plant, by certifying effective maintenance, helping diagnose faults, and working with the mobile plant maintenance contractors.
  • Developing and implementing process improvements to increase efficiency and productivity.
  • Collaborating with the Technical team to ensure assets are available and in sound working order.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience managing and supporting a team while coordinating team activity.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, alongside excellent organizational skills, a keen eye for detail, and a demonstrable ability to manage workload under pressure.
  • Confidence in presenting key findings and liaising with managers of all levels.
  • Strong background in process management with excellent skills in operations, engineering, finance, H&S, stakeholder engagement, and customer focus.

  • Competitive salary up to £44,000 per annum depending on skills and experience.
