Anaesthetics Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant in Anaesthetics to join our team at Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust. As a key member of our anaesthetic department, you will be responsible for providing high-quality clinical care to patients, working closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient flow and optimal outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Provide expert clinical opinion on a range of problems within the specialty, including emergency and elective cases.
- Take full and independent responsibility for the clinical care of patients, including on-call commitments at Worcestershire Royal Hospital and The Alexandra Hospital, Redditch.
- Organise and prioritise workload effectively, advising on the efficient and smooth running of the specialist service.
- Manage and lead the specialty firm and multi-disciplinary team, ensuring timely and appropriate care for patients.
- Full GMC Registration with a Licence to practise.
- Entry on the GMC Specialist Register in Anaesthesia (or expected within 6 months of interview date) via CCT or CESR (CP).
- Ability to teach clinical skills to medical, nursing staff, and other disciplines, with evidence of achieving GMC standards to be recognised as a clinical supervisor.
