Anaesthetics Consultant

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Anaesthetics Consultant to join our team at Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust. As a Consultant Anaesthetist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality clinical care to patients, leading a team of anaesthetists, and contributing to the development of our anaesthesia service.
Key Responsibilities- Provide expert clinical care to patients undergoing anaesthesia, including emergency and elective procedures.
- Lead a team of anaesthetists, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality patient care.
- Contribute to the development of our anaesthesia service, including the implementation of new procedures and protocols.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
- Participate in clinical governance activities, including audit and quality improvement initiatives.
- Full GMC Registration with a Licence to practise.
- Entry on the GMC Specialist Register in Anaesthesia (or expected within 6 months of interview date) via CCT or CESR (CP).
- Success in Intercollegiate Specialty Examination or overseas equivalent.
- Higher degree or additional post-graduate qualification (MRCP, MD, etc).
- Advanced training in General, Urology, Gynaecology surgery, Airway Management, Vascular Anaesthesia, Peri-operative medicine, or regional anaesthesia.
- Experience in robotic surgery.
- Ability to work in a team, communicate effectively with patients, relatives, GPs, nurses, and other agencies.
- Commitment to Continuing Medical Education.
- Honesty and integrity.
