As we navigate a crucial phase in our scaling journey, we require temporary support for maternity leave related to our strategic reporting and analysis functions.

Role Overview

Reporting directly to the Finance Director, the successful candidate will also assist the Chief Executive Officer with various strategic projects. You will actively support our Core and Senior Leadership Team (CLT/SLT) and the Head of Finance on strategic matters, helping to define business requirements and communicate them to relevant stakeholders.

Your role will involve executing projects through thorough and data-driven decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

The primary responsibilities of this position include:

  • Conducting financial modeling for new product developments, export growth strategies, and investment opportunities
  • Engaging in ongoing strategic planning for expansion in the US and Australia
  • Contributing to new initiatives within the organization through financial modeling support
  • Assisting the Finance Director with minor ad hoc modeling projects
  • Reviewing potential new sectors and geographies for current core products and services

These responsibilities will be complemented by the following activities:

  • Collaborating with team members and stakeholders to identify project needs and requirements
  • Conducting research to uncover barriers and opportunities related to proposed plans
  • Assessing risks and the competitive landscape, along with regulatory and compliance considerations
  • Utilizing data modeling techniques to analyze findings and formulate recommendations
  • Providing strategic recommendations aimed at maximizing profits while aligning with organizational objectives
  • Supporting Continuous Improvement Projects by mapping processes and identifying areas for enhancement
  • Monitoring project performance post-implementation to evaluate against initial assessments

As our organization continues to grow and evolve, additional opportunities will arise that require analysis, insights, and assessments. The Business Partner – Special Projects will develop models and plans in collaboration with relevant stakeholders to inform organizational decisions. This role will also involve reviewing internal processes and policies to facilitate continuous improvement.

  • Recognized Professional Accountancy Qualification, strategic business development, or equivalent financial analyst experience
  • Experience with entrepreneurial organizations, capable of evaluating business plans and projects from inception
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills for effective communication with key stakeholders
  • Proven ability to conduct detailed business analysis, identifying problems, opportunities, and solutions
  • Self-motivated with the ability to take initiative and follow through on assignments
  • Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and project management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
  • Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for detail
  • Clear and accurate written communication skills
  • Ability to articulate issues and identify matters for escalation
  • Positive work attitude and resilience under pressure
  • Decisive with the ability to adapt to the evolving needs of the team and organization
  • A collaborative team player with a history of knowledge-sharing and development
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and/or Google Sheets
  • Experience with Odoo or similar ERP systems
