Senior Clinical Psychologist

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Clinical Psychologist to join our Inpatient Team in West Essex, specializing in Older Adult Mental Health. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality psychological assessments, formulations, and interventions for older adults and individuals living with dementia.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments, including neuropsychological evaluations, to inform treatment plans and interventions.
- Develop and implement evidence-based interventions, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy, to address complex mental health needs.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including medical staff, nurses, and social workers, to ensure comprehensive care and support for patients and their families.
- Provide supervision and training to junior colleagues, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous learning.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of psychologically informed care pathways, promoting trauma-informed care and patient-centered approaches.

To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (DClinPsy) or equivalent qualification.
- Experience of working with older adult populations, including inpatient settings.
- Post-qualification training in cognitive-behavioral therapy or other evidence-based interventions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
