Department: Application Engineering

Position Overview: As a Platform Infrastructure Specialist at Squarepoint Capital, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality platform infrastructure using DevOps methodologies. You will work with a diverse group of stakeholders to design, build, and maintain automated platform solutions and services used across the firm.

In this position, you will have the opportunity to work on building and maintaining platform infrastructure, designing and scaling platform solutions, and automating everyday tasks with scripting and configuration management tools. You will also be responsible for guiding junior team members, providing mentorship, and fostering a culture of continuous learning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and build automated platform solutions and services
  • Develop and maintain platform infrastructure using DevOps methodologies
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and prioritize platform requirements
  • Automate everyday tasks with scripting and configuration management tools
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members

Requirements:

  • 4+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or platform engineering roles
  • Deep knowledge of at least two of the following technologies: Kafka, Consul, Load-balancing
  • Proficient in infrastructure automation and configuration management using tools such as Ansible and Terraform
  • Experience with security products such as Keycloak, CyberArk
  • Familiarity with modern software development tooling, including GitLab, Kubernetes, Hashicorp Products

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with Observability systems such as Elasticsearch, Prometheus
  • System administration expertise (Bash, Linux, Containerization)
  • Experience in software development (Python, Git)
