Role Overview:

As a Platform Infrastructure Specialist at Squarepoint Capital, you will play a crucial technical role in delivering mission-critical platform infrastructure using the DevOps methodology.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, monitor, and scale platform infrastructure to meet the needs of the organization.
  • Build and maintain automated platform solutions and services used across the firm.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure high-quality monitoring, tracing, and alerting infrastructure.
  • Develop and implement scripting and configuration management tools to automate everyday tasks.
  • Ensure the high quality of the monitoring, tracing, and alerting infrastructure in the company.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or platform engineering roles.
  • Proficiency in software development, including Python, Git, and experience with Golang or Rust.
  • Experience with an observability stack, including Prometheus, VictoriaMetrics, Vector, Elastic stack, Grafana, and AlertManager.
  • Experience with operating highly distributed applications at scale in Kubernetes.
  • Strong system administration and troubleshooting skills, including Bash, Linux, and containerization.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with creating and operating Kubernetes Operators.
  • Advanced software engineering concepts.
  • Infrastructure automation and configuration management, including Ansible and Terraform.
  • ClickHouse experience.
