About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Healthcare Support Worker. This is an exciting opportunity to work in mental health services, providing support to patients in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work alongside the nursing team to support patients through their reablement pathway
  • Conduct observations, physical health checks, and documentation
  • Support patients with their daily living skills, including facilitating escorts off ward and completion of IROC using the recovery model
  • Participate in recreational and physical activities to promote health and social care to service users
  • Actively promote a responsible caring attitude, treating all patients with dignity and respect

Requirements
  • Previous relevant experience working with people with mental health problems
  • Essential skills include physical healthcare interventions, IT skills, clear and accurate clinical note keeping, and de-escalation skills
  • Desirable skills include immediate life support and venepuncture
