Job SummaryThe successful candidate will work under the supervision of a registered staff member or dental nurse, undertaking defined responsibilities in a variety of clinics within the specialty. You will be responsible for providing safe, compassionate, and competent care to our patients and service users, adhering to Trust policies, protocols, and guidelines.
Main Responsibilities- Provide high-quality patient care and support to healthcare professionals
- Work under supervision to undertake defined responsibilities in clinics
- Comply with Trust policies, protocols, and guidelines
- Support patients and service users in a safe and compassionate manner
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality care
- English and Maths qualification at GCSE grades A*- E, or Functional Skills Level 1
- NVQ Level 2/3 in a Health Related area or equivalent experience
- Successful completion of the Care Certificate
- Knowledge of Oral Maxillofacial & Orthodontics
- ECDL qualification or equivalent
- Ability to work in a demanding and busy environment
- Understanding the role of the Healthcare Support Worker
- Ability to manage time effectively
- Ability to work effectively on an individual basis and as part of a multi-disciplinary team
- Good customer care skills
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to engage in effective working relationships with both patients, their relatives and colleagues
- Knowledge of confidentiality, infection prevention and dignity in care within the workplace
- Ability to prioritise and manage daily workload
- Awareness and Knowledge of the dignity in care agenda
- Ability to recognise own limitations
- Ability to evidence/demonstrate key values and behaviours in line with both the Trust framework
- Working knowledge of Health and Safety, Infection Prevention and Manual Handling
