Position Overview:
As a Senior Practitioner within the Pre 16 EHC Assessment Team, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing the lives of young individuals with additional needs. Your expertise will guide complex case management and foster collaboration among locality teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee intricate casework and provide leadership to locality teams.
  • Act as the representative for the local authority at the First-tier Tribunal (Special Educational Needs and Disability) and address any complaints with diligence.
  • Assist the Service Manager and Team Manager in implementing service enhancements.
  • Ensure the quality of EHC plans aligns with assessed requirements and quantifiable outcomes.
  • Promote collaborative efforts with Education, Health, and Social Care sectors.
Qualifications:
  • In-depth understanding of pertinent legislation.
  • Proven experience in formulating responses to EHC Appeals and representing at Tribunal sessions.
  • Proficient in communication, negotiation, and effectively engaging with young individuals and their families.
  • Background in staff management and supporting team members to meet deadlines.
  • Passion for advancing services for young people with additional needs.
