About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced EHC Coordinator to join our Pre-16 team in Nottinghamshire ICDS, Statutory EHC Assessment Service. As an EHC Coordinator, you will play a central role in achieving positive outcomes for children and young people with SEND in Nottinghamshire.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a caseload of children and/or young people with EHCPs, ensuring timely completion of statutory EHCNA processes and maintaining accurate records.
  • Work in co-production with parents and CYP to ensure their views and voice are represented in all documents, including EHC plans.
  • Develop and maintain strong links with Education, Health & Care colleagues, as well as other agencies and professionals.
  • Facilitate multi-agency meetings to agree the content of new or reviewed Education, Health & Care Plans.
  • Manage communications and expectations of families whose children or young people have SEND in relation to support and services available through the Local offer.
Requirements
  • Strong working knowledge of the Children & Families Act 2014, the Special educational Needs and Disability Regulations 2014, the SEN Code 2015, and the Care Act.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with experience in working effectively with disabled children/young people and their parents/carers, as well as a range of Education, Health & Social Care agencies and professionals.
  • Good literacy and I.T skills, with a working knowledge of MOSAIC case management system.
