The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced Advanced Nurse Practitioner to join its haemato-oncology team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, working closely with medical professionals to manage patient caseloads, and contributing to the development of the trust's services.
Main Responsibilities- Provide expert clinical care to haemato-oncology patients, utilizing advanced specialist skills, knowledge, and expertise.
- Integrate into the existing clinical structure, supporting other professionals in managing routine care of haemato-oncology in-patients, collaborating with other principal team members for both NHS and private patient services.
- Undertake routine advanced physical assessments of haemato-oncology patients, including history-taking, clinical examination, arranging relevant investigations, and prescribing.
- First-level registered nurse with the NMC.
- Degree-level education.
- Possess a relevant specialist qualification in cancer or haematology.
- MSc in Advanced Practice or working towards.
- Haemato-oncology experience of 3-4 years.
- ENB 998/SLICE 1 and 11 or equivalent level teaching mentorship and assessing course.
- Up-to-date Advanced Life Support/Immediate Life Support qualification.
- All staff are expected to take responsibility for their own continual personal development.
- Willingness to undertake physical assessment and non-medical prescribing course.
- Experience in change management.
- Good computer skills, including Excel.
- PICC insertion.
- Skin-tunneled line removal.
- Bone Marrow Aspiration and Trephine.
