Aviva is seeking a talented Lead Data Scientist to join their high-profile data science team. This role involves working with cutting-edge analytics to shape the future of insurance. As part of the UK team, you will be at the forefront of providing new data-driven insights that drive decision-making across the Aviva Group.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize sophisticated statistical techniques to work with a rich insurance dataset
  • Lead a team in problem formulation, data preparation, modeling, and solution deployment
  • Demonstrate expertise in advanced analytics, machine learning, and artificial intelligence
  • Collaborate with operational teams and effectively communicate technical concepts

Requirements:

  • Degree or postgraduate (MSc) in Mathematics, Statistics, or Computer Science
  • Experience in problem-solving, data acquisition, modeling, and deployment
  • Proficiency in R, Python, SQL, SAS, or Spark
