Dimensions is a prominent not-for-profit organization dedicated to providing assistance to adults with learning disabilities and autism. As a Relief Female Support Worker, you will engage with a group of 11 women residing in two different homes, all of whom have learning disabilities.

Your role will focus on fostering the independence of the women we support, helping them to lead fulfilling lives according to their personal choices.

The individuals you will assist are aged between their 40s and 70s, and they enjoy participating in various activities, including:

  • Dining out in the local community.
  • Shopping excursions.
  • Day trips (previous outings have included visits to coastal areas).
  • Home-based music sessions.
  • Relaxation treatments such as manicures and pedicures.

Communication is key: While not all of the women use verbal communication, they possess the ability to understand and express their needs in diverse ways. Dimensions provides comprehensive training for all Relief Female Support Workers to ensure effective communication.

Shifts and Compensation: The available shifts range from early morning to late evening, including waking night shifts. The pay rate for this position is £11.53 per hour.

Additional Responsibilities: Relief Female Support Workers may also assist with financial management, meal preparation, and personal care tasks.
