Dispute Resolution Lawyer Opportunity

Capio Recruitment Legal is seeking an experienced Dispute Resolution Lawyer to join their team in Newark, UK. As a key member of the firm, you will handle a broad range of dispute resolution matters, working with a diverse client base while benefiting from a supportive and collaborative working environment.

The Role:

As a Dispute Resolution Lawyer, you will manage a varied caseload of disputes, providing strategic and practical advice to clients on a wide range of contentious matters. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing a caseload of dispute resolution matters, including contract disputes, property disputes, professional negligence claims, and debt recovery.
  • Advising clients on the merits of their case, risk assessment, and potential outcomes.
  • Drafting legal documents, including claim forms, witness statements, and settlement agreements.
  • Representing clients in court proceedings, as well as in alternative dispute resolution processes such as mediation and arbitration.
  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships, ensuring high standards of client care and commercially sound advice.
  • Liaising with other departments, including commercial and property, to provide comprehensive legal services.
  • Staying up to date with changes in legislation and case law, ensuring advice remains current and relevant.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • At least 2 years' post-qualification experience in dispute resolution.
  • Strong technical knowledge of dispute resolution processes, including litigation, mediation, and arbitration.
  • Excellent drafting and negotiation skills.
  • A proactive and commercially aware approach, with the ability to balance client needs and legal requirements.
  • Experience handling a varied caseload of disputes with minimal supervision.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain client relationships.
  • A focus on delivering high-quality legal advice and client care.
