Vetro Recruitment is partnering with a unique residential service specializing in supporting vulnerable children who have experienced trauma. We are searching for a highly motivated Senior Children's Support Worker to join our team in Taunton.

About the Role

Responsibilities
  • Provide individualized care and support tailored to the unique needs of each young person.
  • Encourage independence, self-reliance, and personal growth through engaging activities and meaningful interactions.
  • Collaborate with a dedicated team of professionals to ensure comprehensive care and well-being.
  • Maintain a safe, secure, and positive living environment for the young people in your care.
  • Effectively manage challenging behaviors using de-escalation techniques and therapeutic approaches.
  • Develop strong relationships with parents, social workers, and other stakeholders involved in the young person's life.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience supporting children with challenging behaviors in a residential setting.
  • Level 3 NVQ in Children & Young People or equivalent qualification.
  • Full UK Manual Driving Licence due to the nature of transporting young people on occasion.
  • Comprehensive understanding of Child Protection and Safeguarding procedures.
